BBBrrrrrrr...
As you can tell from my post about the girls' dance recital, I enjoy their activities almost as much as they do. However, I also realize how important it is for them to have family time at home...even though it drives me slightly crazy to be at home with nothing going on. So, I told them that they could only do two activities during the school year and this year they picked tumbling and ice skating. Yes, ice skating. Apparently our little trip to the ice rink over Christmas Break had a lasting impression on them (at least it did on Isabel...Ashlen always wants to do whatever her big sister is doing). As much as I will miss the dance recital this year, and as much as I can't stand sitting in the bleachers of a winter-like setting (I HATE winter), I must admit that it is pretty cute to watch them skating! Here they are at their first lesson:

I have to get a video clip of this last one...they learn to skate backwards by pushing off of the wall, then shaking their little tushies. It is pretty much the cutest thing ever! Unfortunately for her dad, Isabel shows great promise in the tush-shaking because her backward skating is really impressive!
