The Roberts Girls in the Ozarks...
Last weekend, my friend Nicole and I decided to take our kids to the Ozarks for a long weekend. Nicole's parents live on a cove of the lake and bravely offered to let us stay with all three kids! The girls had a blast. My dad (Papa) has a boat, so I already knew that they would love boating, but I wasn't sure how they would like jetskiing and paddleboating. I was pretty certain that they would have no part of getting into lake water (if they are like their mama, I figured they would be disturbed by the idea of fish swimming below). They both ended up swimming in the lake and LOVED it! I was shocked!
Ashlen and Bryce share a birthday...we celebrated while we were there. The picture isn't too clear, but Nicole's mom made a cake that was half orange and blue for Bryce and half pink for Ashlen...very sweet of her! Here is Isabel at dinner:
The kids enjoyed the porch swing on the lake:

I was very surprised...Isabel loved it and Ashlen ended up 'chickening out' of the jetski experience...total opposite of what I expected!
Isabel wanted to just get her legs wet:
But, she slowly made her way down that ladder (by slowly, I mean it took her over 20 minutes to get in the water all the way!!!) which made Ash want to give it a try too:
Eventually, they were so far out that I had to tell them to swim in!!!
Ash enjoyed swimming to Nicole's dad...it was a little game she would have played for hours given the opportunity:

It was a great weekend...the girls kept asking if we could live here! Thanks so much to Nicole's parents for having us!!!
